Peng Cheng, Jiaxin, Haoming and Jingya’s Laser Cut Maquette.

Third years; Peng Cheng, Jiaxin, Haoming and Jingya have been exploring how to turn their computer generated Rhino models into physical ones, this model combines laser cut hexagons with match sticks, simply glued together. Rhino is often criticised in student projects for being used solely for generating unusual shapes for the sake of it, with no real consideration for space, function or construction. The team have been on a mission to address these concerns through constructing a series of delicate models, this one being the first. This model took the team three evenings to build.
